British Army Royal Engineers Officers Cap Badge GVR

an unusual well made bazaar type cast officer pattern cap badge. I would guess made in India and probably Great war era. brass with bronzed finish. approx 1.8" by 1.3". two lug type fittings on reverse. separately attached centre with cypher of King George V and GVR crown at top.
