France WW1 Veterans Lapel Pin Great War French Military 1914 to 1915

I assume this is a veterans pin rather than a sweetheart item. a great looking piece. well used and with signs of age but good overall. Brass medallion approx 1.1" diameter on fob type arrangement with pressed metal grenade emblem at top of pin.
