an unusual variation officer pattern cap badge. bronze RA cap emblem approx. 2.25" by 1.95" with maker marked slider fitting on the reverse ; J R Gaunt London. Pre 1953 Kings Crown at top. one of the few units to utilise this type of badge for officers, Gaunts also made a Fire Gilt version. scarce.
