Old Rampant Lion Lead Filled Brass Horse Bridle Livery Badge

a very old and interesting horse bridle badge. lead filled approx. 2.2" diameter with loop fitting for leather strap fixing. the main design is a lion rampant in lead. I assume this had a coating originally. Best guess would be Scottish or Irish origin with possibly military connection though may be just a family or clan decoration. nb lead content so not for sale to any person under 18 years of age. needs to be handled with care.
