Vintage British Royal Mail Post Office Staff Uniform Badge GPO Obsolete

a good example UK postal badge. enamelled metal approx 1.5" by 1.1" with two lug type fittings on the reverse. i believe the outer surround designates a senior staff member. some crazing to the enamel as shown.
