British or Commonwealth Nursing Belt Buckle from Army Officers Belt

certainly unusual. what appears to be a nurses belt buckle made from a British Army officer pattern which is either Victorian or Edward VII era. some strange marks or script on the reverse. approx 1.7" by 1.95" when joined up.
