British Royal Navy Veterans Pin Badge Silver HMS Southampton

i assume this was for D 90 HMS Southampton in silver metal approx 2" total width including wide thin fitting by 0.85". I would guess originally intended for wear on a tie.reasonable condition but with signs of age and use.
