British and Commonwealth King George VI Tie Badge Damaged

a most likely tie badge or lapel item approx 2" wide on holder and approx 0.75" by 0.5" at centre. nb the fitting on the reverse is missing its loop holder. Can just about make out the sterling mark. signs of were and handling etc.
