a good quality copy British Army helmet plate. backing plate approx. 5.2" by 4.1" with a nice domed centre . the latter might well be a later bandsman's item but not sure. a bit loose and needs securing properly. evenly toned on front. remains of gilt finish on reverse of backing plate. pre 1902 pattern crown of Queen Victoria at top.  read more
